Zimbabwe vs Ireland | 2nd ODI | 16 February 2025

Keep the momentum on the back of a resounding win and wrap this series up.

Would play Wez higher up the order. If he’s in the team, which he will be because ZC like him, then play him to his strengths. He’s an accumulator not a big hitter.

Nyamhuri is a tough call. I’d give him the rest of this series and rest him for a bit. Key is communication though, tell him look newman we like you, this isn’t you getting chopped but you’re young and we want to look after you. Not burn you out with over exposure.

Wellington is fine, nice and economical last game. 40 off 10 overs is very tidy in 2025 hey

Raza   expecting a vast improvement from him, a scratchy run a ball 8 and 1/54 is not acceptable for a man of his stature. Another game like that and his farm will be redistributed and his PhD revoked.

A lot of Raza hate of late

A fifty every four innings is high for Zim, late career Raza has been delivering consistently.

Wes ideally at 4, considering Ervine needs a bit of time to settle into his rhythm as well. I wouldn't change the XI to be honest, Nyamhuri is probably the weakest link but he's worth persisting with for this series.

Bennett is one of those lucky guys and its essential.
A missed stumping and dropped twice yesterday and now a stone dead LBW. He's looking in good touch again.

Karma for that LBW decision, decent enough knock from Bennett though, 30 is our 50 right

Need Ervine to keep it together with Curran for at least 10 overs, we need to get over the habit of collapses.

Ya that wasn't a great shot. Not easy when you're seeing it like a football to rein it in a little. Again as Tino said that 4th stump line will always bother him with so little foot movement.

Curran looking a bit more relaxed, but missing out on boundaries as Tino said.

I see a lot of our guys walk into the channel. I like that, the modern way.
