Would love to see Natsai given a go in the test team, he does have the ability to spin it big, and I think without Cremer we need an attcking spinner in there to complement Rayza.....dot balls from one end and wickets from Natsai's!!

Dot balls from one end and plenty of runs from the other. Not sure Natsai is ready yet, he seemed a bit overawed the other day.

Really, and what makes you say that in a sneery, condescending manner ? You really are no one to try to assert any form of cultural superiority.

In terms of sporting entertainment there are a great many sports far more entertaining than League. Personally I find the Champions League to be exceptional and I am not really a Soccer fan.

League I have seen it on TV for years and never liked it. Never warmed to it. There is no cultural elitism associated with following Rugby League. Indeed in the UK it has always been associated with the professional working class types from foul cities in the grimy north of England, de-industrialised sewers with few jobs and little prospects apart from working in poundshops or call centres, and they follow it simply due to the sports roots in rebelling against posh southerners.

For years these cloth capped clowns whined about bias against them and how they needed a club in London and Wales to get a foothold. They got that. Wales screwed up due to lack of interest and the club in London limps along going from owner to owner and stadium to stadium.

Different people like different things, you want to sneer at me over it then go ahead and if you don't like it then tough. you find it entertaining, well have a cookie.assuming you have got food these days.

I think you interpreted more snark and sneer in my post than there actually was. I agree that the Champions League is exceptional, although I am a football fan so I would say that.

The champions league is the pinnacle of the sport. For me it is better than the world cup or African nations cup.

I agree that the Champions League is certainly the pinnacle of football. I prefered it when it was only 24 teams as I think with 32 there are a few weak teams in the mix. The pinnacle of Rugy League would be State of Origin (I am sure Zimdoggy would back me up on this), if that doesn't entertain you then I guess you just don't like League - which is ok.

I think the problem with 24 teams is that, rather like the Heineken cup, it makes qualification a problem of maths. 32 works better although there are obviously, as you say, some pretty weak teams in there. I do not go out of my way to watch Premiership football, or international matches, but I do make an effort with the Champions League as it is so compelling.

I do like The Heineken Cup, especially when it gets to the business end of the games. Union missed a trick with the Amlin Shield in not bringing in The Russians and The Georgians, both of whom were ready two seasons ago. VVA Podmoskovye even built a new stand for the tournament.

In terms of cricket I do not think you can beat a good, honest, test match although it is hard not to get sucked in by the sheer drama of the IPL. I was working in Holland alongside a guy from Mumbai a couple of weeks ago. All he could do was enthuse about the IPL.

I saw some State of Origin a few years ago, scrub it, it was nearer to 15 years ago and as League goes it was pretty exciting and entertaining, certainly more compelling than the day to day stuff you get in the UK and games with a heritage to them. Sky lost the contract for it and the NRL (the grand final was certainly worth spending a couple of hours watching) and I have not seen any for years. I also find it objectionable League call Aussie-Britain/England games "The Ashes", the sport has its own heritage. i do think League still has its own baggage it needs to let go and will only ever be a regional sport in the UK and Aussie (as Union is in Aussie).

When I was in America a few years ago I went to a baseball game. Now that is the definition of dull.
