his inclusions have too though ;)

If he turns out to be half of either flower then i'm for him ... but he'd have to be double Blignaut...

:D he certainly had his moments; the WI test where Vermeulan got a century was a particular favourite though he couldn't finish the job.Still, anyone who gets Lara's praise - high praise too, not prompted platitudes - has a proud place in ZCs history for me. but he was patchy ...

Double Blignaut would be formidable.

Bliggie was a hit or miss. Rather him than Elton though. But he came at a time Wen we had all rounders aplenty (friend, ervine, streak,Ewing, Marillier).

Another note... How bad are the rocks? No decent imports. Players deserting the ship like flies (except sympathetic nationals like Taibu who are getting behind the underdog or locals like vitori) no supporters
I smell trouble. Where theres smoke.....

Might be time for ZC to cut their losses on this one...

Last year you wanted to drop the Mountaneers though. Don't tell me next year you'll be on the Rhinos case, or God forbid, my beloved Tuskers. ;)

AC would go both. If AC was still selecting.

Yes last yr i wanted to drop mountaineers because i thought they were the weakest link with their pay troubles at the time.

i always said it should be rocks mountaineers or rhinos (who are my team).

You see there are some facts here.

-ZC are broke or close to it.
-ZC are propping up teams.
-9/10 supporters support mashonaland or the tuskers.
-ZC are thus propping up unsupported teams.
- Standard of logan cup is piss poor as it is.
-standard is so bad that certain zimbabwean star players are playin in sydney and NZ just to get a challenge.

In my opinion. money being plowed into the weakest logan cup team can be much better reinvested in paying unpaid players and supporting the club cricket structure just below first class. Which i have now learnt from peoplehere is in tatters. Rocks can survive and play in a club competition. it is absolutely disgusting in my book on every level that players arent getting their dosh for what they do.This is pro sport. If anyone pulls the 'players should stick around for pride' bullshit on me dont bother.

But If someone makes a case that a 5th team is needed (i cant see it at the moment) then i think a second harare team is needed.
We can have a local derby like North Harare eagles vs south Harare swans or something along those line. imagine the crowd for that.

one more fact
zimdoggy= absolute marketing genius.

Bligz at his best was a better bowler than Chigs at his best. Elton's batting was better in ODIs, Bligz superior in Tests

This other side of this arguement would be that you have just made the case for the existence of a franchise in this area. The sport, especially as it is growing, has to be as national as possible. Some short term pain may well have to be absorbed in order to benefit from gains in the longer term. Without the existence of the Southern Rocks, it is highly unlikely that Vitori would have played international cricket.
