However, SS streams have been virtually impossible to find for over a year so we might have to rely on Ten Cricket (http://www.tencricket.com/schedule/?date=2011-11-25), the same broadcaster that aired the Zimbabwe vs New Zealand series.

This should be a good tournament, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not optomistic about getting a link for this friday and saturday as every site is just showing india, i have found a direct link to ten sports whilst the india game was on but could not find one for ten cricket.

Well, my bosses are a bit trepid on this one as we are the only ones doing this tournament otherwise we would have been betting at a fairer percentage, and you hhm might have gotten better odds than 22/10 for your beloved Tuskers. By dint of so many stars in their team Midwest had been my favourites (although I quite like the Mountaineers) for the tournament before they announced that Chris Gayle was had been assigned to the Tuskers.

But I know 7/2 Eagles is more than a fair price for Maehara ?

A tenner on Mpofu might be worth a try hey. You'll be a rich man overnight . And going through the odds again how I had made Mtizwa bigger than the snail slow Chakabva, I do not know. Revised!!

I dont bet on local games, not even IPL because there is a stark contrast in the skill levels of the local and international players. It is fraught with too much risk and combine that with the volatile nature of the T20 format you never know what is gonna happen.

But I do make more correct than wrong calls on international games. This is the first time I will be seeing the local players, so cannot come to a preemptive judgement based on cricinfo profiles. Here's my take based on what I know so far.

Tuskers are my favorites to win this one.
Eagles and Rhinos come second. Cant choose one way or the other.
Eagles have a weak bowling line up that can be taken apart if they fail to take wickets up front and this can cost them.
Rhinos have an attacking lineup and the likes of Shaun Tait might be too hot for the local batsmen. They can break through anytime even if the opposition gets off to a flyer. But then you got a slew of internationals in the top order of other teams.

Tuskers
- No real weaknesses. It will be a surprise if they dont win this tournament. Again I see Rhinos as the only team that can challenge the tuskers on paper.
From an odds perspective, I would not agree to put Coventry ahead of the other batters. He is not consistent enough.
Ewing ahead of Ervine and Trenchard is not too tempting either.

They have to let Gayle and Dabengwa/Ewing bowl the middle overs even though they have plenty of seam options.
I would bet on this team to the beat the national team.


Eagles
- Good batting line up. If wickets fall up front and Matsi and Chakabva come at the top of the order they can slow down the innings. Elton and Zhuwao to a lesser extent can cause serious damage to the opposition. Forster, Elton and Zhuwao need to bat ahead of Matsi and Chakabva.

-Jarvis and Co can be expensive or explosive but more likely expensive. The bowling will be a big liability for them although they have batting line up capable of putting up winning scores.

Rhinos
- Strong reliable batting although not too many big hitters like Gayle or Coventry.
- Lou Vincent will come good overall for them. Such an exciting but often underrated player. He batted with guts in the champions league when the batting order collapsed around him and I expect him to deliver the good regardless of the quality of the bowlers in the opposition.
- Their batting is top-heavy so will need to make sure they are not 3 down or 4 down at the end of first ten overs.

The bowling is exciting. Tait will derail the opposition in the end overs with his reverse swinging yorkers. Seems capable of getting the breakthroughs necessary.

Mountaineers
To challenge the top three they will need a mercurial effort (one man show) from Nannes, Kasuza or Mustard. Based on the timing of when they fire the mountaineers can cause upsets but will not be consistent.

Rocks
They have just lost even before a single ball is bowled. Can you change the odds to 250 so I can place a bet on them


Other random odds like first 6 overs, Opening partnership, sixes etc seem to be heavily in favor of the house. No value in betting on these.

Our punters are normally interested in the spread betting, which is where the real excitement begins. I will put that up as the match begins tomorrow.

I have a really good feeling about the Mountaneers. Mustard, H. Masakadza, Kasuza, Shingi Masakadza, Chatara, Nannes, Mushangwe. No, really they are my sentimental favourites, the Tuskers northwithstanding

Also, please excuse the emphasis on county cricket, but that is what I am supposed to be writing about, only I'm trying to prove that there is an audience out there for coverage of other country's (besides the UK's) domestic seasons. Hi dang. Welcome to the forum. I doubt BRM&maehara will mind.

I read it. Fair summation. It's consise, just like the Stanbic T20! Your assessment of the promising youngsters includes both Kasuza & Nathan, which shows the racial balance in Zim's present and future.

I personally don't like the fact that the Tuskers' regular captain Ewing won't be taking part, while Horton will lead at his expense. If that is to be the case then we would ratehr have it limited to just one or two overseas players in stead of four in future. Despite his impressive FC performances, Ewing is aggressive and more effective in the shorter formats, so he should be playing and leading!

Apart from highlighting the lesson the ECB (&BCCI) can pick up from our T20 structre, you would do well to inform that idiot and hypocrite Cameron, and his equally foolish colleagues in the ECB, that there's no harm in letting the Lions come down to Zim(wouldn't mint the full side either). After all , they are the ones who are more harmful to the global setup than Bob and cronies ever will. Their take on the situation in Zim is grossly overstated. You will never see Harare burn like London, or subways bombed (not that they have them)!
