Brendan Taylor signs up with Chittagong

Post by Ming »

Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Shame he couldn't find his way back to Zim to play for Rhinos in the final on saturday :x

But then i guess the money is more important, did i say money ?, sorry, i meant to say the experience of playing in Bangladesh is more important, of course ........

^ This. World T20 is this year in Sri Lanka, and Taylor will bat in the top 3. These games will be useful. Shame he is missing the Rhinos game on Saturday, but on balance, I think this was the better option.

Chittagong Kings have lost yesterday's match and still have 3 League matches to secure a place in semis. Next match of Chittagong is on 24th.

I have some dissapointment that he won't be trying to win the Rhinos their first title. But it is good he is winning overseas contracts and showing that playing for Zim doesn't mean you can't earn a living from cricket even though we are poor.

When these franchises would've been best served by countless other players Zim players Price, Hami, Vusi, Cremer, Taibu, Matsi, Shingi they chose that silly about-turn soon-to-be Hamps reject! He couldn't cut it in Zim's T20, how could they have expected him to do better there! Top order, low order - very poor! Scots/Canadians are doing better than him! Good thing Rajshahi dropped him, and won their next five! Except it's money down the drain!

After the pathetic Sean Ervine's expected miserable showing, hopefully Taylor can salvage Zimbabwe's pride! I expect him to get better starts than he did in NZ. All the best!

Tamim, Mahmudullah, Dwayne Bravo, Jerome Taylor, Styris, Simmons & Enamul Haque Jnr are among his teammates. Remember him? I think he won a car/super bike after leading Bang to slaughter us as a 19yr old - what happened?
