Same here.hhm wrote:........Good thing Rajshahi dropped him, and won their next five! Except it's money down the drain!
After the pathetic Sean Ervine's expected miserable showing, hopefully Taylor can salvage Zimbabwe's pride! I expect him to get better starts than he did in NZ. All the best!

cheers zf1.
I enjoyed that ... a suspiscion was fully realised today for me (tour T20s are just dull). Give me WC, CL and local T20 PLs but this Chittagong game was more intersting to me than one i think is goking on between Eng and PK today!!
missed BRMT batting but saw he was run out (which usually buys another chance), so will catch him next game! This time next year i hope to see 3 zim players in the BPL. Not overly fussed at this point who - but I'd like to see EC start filling his boots

At it again - the lad, doing fine so far!

25 off 36 isn't a great innings. Though run rates have been low in the BPL.

Isn't great - are you kidding me! Don't you mean pathetic/disgraceful, or is it taboo in Taylor's case, and that kind of scrutiny reserved for the likes of Regis, Hami&Taibu only. You can be rest assured that a certain section in this forum would've been scathing had it been one of them who 'underperformed' in their first game in Bang, whom we've played so many timess there! His teammates in the innings were striking at up to 180! In fact, the innings was operating at over 150SR at the opposite end when ever he was at the crease! Just as we accused Horton of losing the game for the Tuskers(when he was more 80-100SR), the Kings' supporters can be justified in accusing Taylor of losing them the match, and a spot in the semis! Considering his superior experience as a player&T20I batsman compared to the rest of that batting order, plus the circumstances of the match, to even say he was poor is a gross understatement!!!!Jemisi wrote:25 off 36 isn't a great innings. True, I saw the match, and Taylor singlehandedly undid a lot of good work by bringing the runrate to a skidding stop...Jemisi wrote:25 off 36 isn't a great innings. Though run rates have been low in the BPL.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).
Re: Brendan Taylor signs up with Chittagong
Wonderful analysis hhm. He used 36 balls, that means 6 overs only by himself in a 20 over match and contributed just 25 runs. A lot of unsatisfaction from Chittagong Kings fans over his innings. Another 15 runs could make a difference. After losing this match, it looks like they are out of the semifinal races and so is Brendan's. However, in the first match, Brendan was looking very fluent, but a sad runout ended a potential good knock.hhm wrote:Isn't great - are you kidding me! Surprisingly for Rajshahi, Ervine is showing good form now. Remember he was out of the XI after pathetic performance in the first 2 matches. Rajshahi has secured a semifinal place. Looking forward to the semifinal matches now.
