This is such a great day. Any victory by Zimbabwe is worthy of celebration these days. It must be very disconcerting for Bangladesh which is a cricket obssesed country (of over 150 million) to lose to Zimbabwe which has lost so many experienced players over the last 5 years and as a result only has about 20 players of a decent left.

Lets hope we can win the remaining two games a nd send a message to the ICC.

Congratulation Zimbabwe :D You hv played better cricket today than Bangladesh in all 3 aspect of the game.

Hamiton Masakadza(16) wasnt out which was given catch out by the umpire,it hitted him in his pad.Sibanda(15) didnt play that well today.Matsikenyeri batted well today in his 39,he has proved that he deserves a place in the team.Taibu(17) was attempting 2 much reserve sweep,he can't play in every and each delivary...he has to be more careful abt it.Williams(3) was solid in defence and I was quite impressed with his technique...but he went back and missed the bowl and was out LBW.Dabengwa not good only 10 in his name.Utseya scored 9,Price scored a useful 17 and gave enough support to Chigumbura. And the main star of the innings Elton Chigumbura who scored a brilliant 64.

In the bowling of Bangladesh the spinners played the big role.Shakib(10-3-23-3) and
Naeem (10-0-32-3) both were impressive.I think that,Bangladesh should hd a one more recognised spinner I mean Enamul Haque Jnr in the side.Pacer Mashrafe (10-0-41-2) did well.Mahbubul did well in the early part of his bowling but was expensive in his late part and finished his spell (10-0-66-0).Nazmul didnt bowl well (4-0-24-0).I think in the next match Enamul Haque Jnr will come in his place.

Zunaed Siddique wasnt out.Mushfiqur Rahim batted poorly by misjudging the line which he left and was bold out.Mohammmad Ashraful was very irresponsible first he run out Tamim and then he out himself in a foolish very.Shakib was brilliant in his 52 but wanted to attack Chigumbura for which he did pay the price.Raqibul played well in his 23.Mehrab Jnr gave his wicket away which he did so many times before.Naeem was run out scoring 21 played defensively,Mashrafe was run out scoring 3.Mahbubul Alam helped Bangladesh not to give Zimbabwe a bonus point scoring 22.

Prosper Utseya opened the bowling and lead from the front (10-3-22-2).Rainsford was good
(6-0-26-1).Mupariwa wasnt that good (5-0-29-0).Dabengwa bowled a fine spell
(10-0-30-1).Raymond Price bowled exceedingly well (9.2-1-35-2).Elton Chigumbura was the one who got the main breakthrough when he took the wicket of Shakib and won the match for Zimbabwe in advance and his figure(6-0-21-1).

I think, there will be two change for Bangladesh in the next game.Mahmudullah Riyad will replace Mehrab Jnr and Enamul Haque Jnr will replace Nazmul Hussain.Zimbabwe should stick with this team. They hv played 4 years all together. So,there is a decent amount of understanding is between them. The presence of Price and Taibu hv lift the team very well while young players like Masakadza,Chigumbura firing up and Utseya leading from the front as a captain.Sean Williams shouldnt be dropped,he has played well before and it's a just a matter of time that he will get a big innings. But full marks to Zimbabwe :P

Who were you supporting today Detective RDS, Zimbabwe or Bangladesh? Also, was the game on local TV for you or did you have to go on the internet for a stream?

Their not taking this result at all well over at BanglaCricket - most people there were convinced Bangladesh should have won all their matches against Zimbabwe. One loss, and there are calls for Ashraful's head - although I suppose we're just as quick to call for Utseya's when we fall down. At any rate, let the lesson be, take us seriously or pay the price...

Okay! Less than 3hrs to Sri Lanka v Bangladesh. I figure after three close calls in Harare, Zimbabwe are due a win here, and I have £5 on Zim at 11/2 to back that up. Don't let me down now... :)
