I must confess I never new Chingoka played any serious cricket before I stumbled across this picture. It shows him bowling for the South African African IX in 1975 when for a very short period a step was taken towards integration in SA cricket, albeit with teams still chosen along racial lines. Chingoka even captained the SAACB side in two Gilette Cup matches, and the only wicket he took was that of no other than the great Barry Richards for just 12.
