There is just no fight in this team at all. It looks like they just want to get out of there. Zimbabwe was always known as a tough fighting side in the 90s, we couldn't be any further from that now (Ray Price aside).

Well this still only the 6th Test match for ZIM since the return. If ZIM don't play frequent cricket against teams near their strength level (NZ, WI, BD, IRE, AFG) then they won't really develop. Of course, there is also a question whether there is a sufficient player pool to assemble 15-20 core players who can compete consistently at the highest level. The ZC should look to form a strategic partnership with NZ who also has a similarly small player pool but competes decently at the highest level.

The batting cupboard is bare, that is the real worry these guys are the best we have
