Fair call. We've had our bad ones in this match too, and we have another innings to survive :(

I'm away for half an hour, come back and Bangladesh are 3/22?
What a funny game cricket is.

They still have a big lead though, it's not a position too dissimilar to where we were in the second innings of the 1st Test. If we take a couple more wickets though, who knows what can happen.

In the context of the game and series you are right .. Shingis 'out' was far more important. He added a great partnership last test, was looking ok and his contribution could have turned the game...
There is no need for any context. Its a context-less statement. You can't compare a tough poor decision of a #10 batsman with a howler of an opener. Lets be honest, how many runs would have Chakabva and/or Shingi make? The big break was Chigs on 73 who was plumb as could be. That MORE than makes up for Chakabva.

I'm not going to go as far as say that the umpires are biased against Bangladesh, but I will say that poor umpiring is a systemic problem that we've faced home, away, and against all opposition. If I recall correctly, we also got the shorter end of the stick in the first test, not that would have affected the outcome of the match. Not the case with this match which is even more wide open now thanks to the umpires.

Can't believe that wasn't given out. Even I thought that was out at first!

that's the question i was hoping you would ask yourself....his contribution in the last test was (?) in a partnership of (?) [this is why context is everything]. My guess is the 'more' he would have added would have been more telling than whatever the BD top 4 would add...

Serously? Well if reality is such, then ball missing Tamim's bat by 4 inches is certainly a thick edge!

what? no, it's a bad decision that probably doesn't influence the game in any way at all. Shingi's decision certainly did [influence the game] -especially if you consider what he could have contributed (by looking at what he contributed in the first test)!!

So, we don't want to seize the initiative here, it seems, we should have got that run out :(

Oh what a missed opportunity, the run out was on then.

Seeing the draw is off the cards now, what is the maximum we could chase in the fourth innings? 300?
