[Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 2nd Test
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 2nd Test
Chasing 400. Is it time to see a 100 opening stand?
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 2nd Test
target of 401 set to win the series, clever deceleration by Rahim as it still gives Zimbabwe a shot of chasing the target down if we bat well.
we have an outside chance but Bangladesh it the prime seats as Dirk would say.

Well, the openers are due for a big stand.
There are roughly 130 overs remaining in this match, so that requires a run rate of about 3.1 rpo. That's not going to happen.
So I think playing for the draw is the only realistic choice. Still, odds would have to be 95 to 5 in favour of Bangladesh right now.
I'd take 1/80 at stumps tonight.

Is reverse-jinxing allowed?CrimsonAvenger wrote:Rule no. 1 before we start: No jinxing please.

The umpires will have to be wary of excessive appealing here.

One difference between the 2 teams is the appealing,it can be a nuisance at times but I guess that's the point, to get under the skin of the batsmen

It's a bold and foolish strategy of taking time out of the game. Get forward, get hit in the box, replace the box.
Repeat every over?
Repeat every over?

139 overs to survive, that's about 15 overs for each of the first nine partnerships. Let's see if we can get into the good at some stage.
