Sean Williams for Malcom Waller in the next test. Pity - we could have done with his commitment - wish he ha d a more solid defense.
so, who will open with Tino (Chaks hardly showed much more than Vusi ... and Vusi at least has scored runs at the top since return). No, for me, we play him in the next two series regardless of what he does in the next...

Well, we made it half way through the fifth day. But a loss this big against BD at home is pretty sad.

yeah, it is! on the other hand, they came to Zim with a much bigger rep than ours having just matched SL while we were coming off a hammering. We've drawn a series which we had every possibility of losing

Not just that, the first game really only had a couple of contibutors (with Taylor being the difference). This time, despite him failing, others played at a level we can expect them to be at, at this time (not disappointingly lower)

Speaking of take aways, I think we can allow Hami and Shingi to stop off at the Hamburger Hut on the way back to Mutare. They deserve it.

:D :D :D
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Nice to see Hamilton scoring a century, although it could be argued that yet again he is only scoring big when it doesn't matter. The match was already gone by the time the second innings started.

Well then there's this fellow, not sure if you've heard of him...goes by the name of Ten Dulkar I think, or maybe its Nine Dulkar. Anyways, this bloke's only scored about 10 international hundreds in meaningful situations.

Jokes aside, a century is always an achievement. More so a Test hundred in a 4th innings. Its not like a ODI hundred scored against Hong Kong or Namibia in the world cup. That being said, I expect Hamilton to go back to hibernating for a good long while.

Bit of a relief more than anything else to have squared the series. I'm wondering if the wicket in the first game was that much worse than this one or if it was just poor play (ZIM scored quiet a few more runs on that pitch and we scored a hell of a lot less).

The momentum is good for us, and heading into Bulawayo we should be expected to win the ODIs 3-0 based on the form of the last 16 months. Don't care about T20s, but we should win that 2-0, but 1-1 is quite possible since thats our weakest format.

Congrats to the ZIM fans on drawing the series...you definitely deserved it after that ass-whooping in the first game! Good luck for the limited overs segments because we won't be as easy to roll over there!

Btw, Dr Situ hasn't posted in this thread since about page 5...seems to be one of the bigger fair weather fans and shit-talkers out there. Don't think we'll see him back till after our boys land in Dhaka, lol!
