Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe Pakistan 2nd test
YES!
That was a better wicket to take for his 5-fer!
That was so awesome, what a great spell of fast bowling by Brian Vitori
This is why I love Test cricket. This morning who would have thought Zimbabwe would have a first innings lead, let alone a lead of 64!
Panyangara started it all with his quick strikes, and Vitori was superb in cleaning up the tail.

Great to have someone like Vitori who has that extra zip to knock over the tail.
First innings lead two Tests in a row. Can we make 200 again to put Pak under real pressure in their chase?

I'm not sure, but is there anyone out there who would have predicted such a closely fought series?

Going by how Pakistan struggled against Ireland, I thought a full strength Zim would be a close match. However, this team has surprised me.

Getting over-enthusiastic, but with 4 pacers (panyangara, chatara, shingi, vitori), we can bring in a 'hunting in packs' mentality. Bring in a consultant to teach them how to scowl and get up people's noses, and we'll have a winning combo!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

sorely missing from the last test ... we now have a good bank of test seamers. slow bowlers too - if we can use/rotate them a bit better. and with Williams and Raza (and Stewy ) batting things look pretty ok.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: YES!

watching those wickets ... Vitori was pretty useful, and the pace looked more than medium
