Now is the ideal time to have continuous Test matches for this team.
Yeah, we're competing with what some would argue is a almost a 2nd XI (whether that's true or not is another issue...), but if we've got to start from scratch again in 9 months time, how the hell are we supposed to progress?
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

:4: Great shot from Masakadza.
And well done to Mawoyo on his 50. As jimbo said, he's such an important player in the Zimbabwe Test team. It's good to have a player who is happy to settle in and grind out a score. They don't call him Tino "Rahul "The Wall" Dravid" Mawoyo for nothing ;)

Gavin Rennie reckons "nothing less than 350" :?: :?:
Poor analyses from nothing less than a failed opener. Under estimates the abilities of this present day generation, as usual, who have much more ability than that Andy Flower lot
These guy's are amazing ... and continue to amaze ... when you consider what they're up against. they deserve so much better ...

... but some of those guys with Andy could play 8-) ... though none of them could open (keep going Tino - likes playing pk doesn't he?)

Mawoyo's under serious pressure right now. To be fair, the Pakistani's are over-appealing... but a few of these calls have been close and it would surely start to play on the batsman's mind?

It would be a grand achievement if these two could take us through to stumps. I'd be more than happy for these guys to shut up shop now if it meant being like 1/110 at the close of play.

Your kidding right? I must have missed all of the victories of the current generation.
over-reaction? certainly these guys are constantly under-estimated (not necessarily a good reason to under-value some of the past guys - but I know you were here during the victories of the current generation - against a far more settled BD team than the older gen played; and that you must be aware that statistically since 2011 we're winning 1/3 of our tests as opposed to about 1/10th that the older gen managed).

anyway ... I am enjoying this test too much to get annoyed 8-)

I hate over-appealing (put me right off warne when I first watched him) ... but it's true that some of the calls (+ the dropped catch) will need a good night's sleep to get over

100 partnership up. Pretty much the perfect start to the innings.

The unranked test ream (Zim) gained the lead over No.4 test team(Pak) in back to back tests. Mawoyo scored 163* against Ajmal & Co. in previous tour and he is again (58*) grinding his doosra, teesra, chautha. Zim lead by 180 runs with 9 wkts in hand.

For my Shona natives (pun intended):
Tino to Ajmal: Zviri kunakaka? (Is everything all right? )

Tino to Junaid:Yaa tozopota techimurapawo (Yes! I will treat you, too.)

Hope I've not messed with the language.

No! Mawoyo gone with 2 overs before stumps :(
It was a very good innings though under the circumstances.
