Waller has to play in place of Maruma. His offies will come in handy too.

Too many passengers in this side that's why we lost. With that I mean kamungozi utseya and Maruma. Utseya doesn't do anything at the moment and mushangwe should have played in his place. Kamungozi well I think he is a poor man's ray price as left arm spinners go

It's difficult to tell what Kamungozi bowls or rather tries to bowl (I'll settle for slow-medium) but he does it right handed.

Just been watching the UAE vs Netherlands. The UAE keeper took an important wicket from a similar position that BRMT was on Panyangara^s last ball. Taylor didn't take off the glove, the UAE keeper did...and got a better throw in, hence the wicket. Poor keeping from Taylor, who had loads of time on that last ball.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Not looking too good for qualification now. We really needed to win that. I largely blame ZC for our lack of match practice. Vusi kills me, he'll go out in the longer formats playing a rash shot but in T20 he doesn't really go for it. I know it's old conversation but he's so talented but cant get it together. A back foot pull off a ball not quite there he should have kept on the ground perhaps? I've watched him play locally and his face looks different when he's on the big stage, you can see the pressure etched in there. I'd like to see the stat on how many times he's been caught at short mid wicket. BT was correct in his assessment of being 20 shy on a small field. Our batters getting starts smacks of lack of practice. The rub of the green really didn't go our way but our bowling was poor, we don't seem to have strike bowlers at this level. Didn't see too many block hole balls either. We're missing Jarvis, Cremer and Price. We really had no plan bowling at the fat Irish dude with the good eye. Surely they should have had areas to bowl at him other than in his slot? Good player though, a lesser Jesse Ryder. That was bitterly disappointing. The last time I was this bleak was when the last two election results came out. Snag is we need to win everything convincingly and Ireland needs to come unstuck...long shot.

Really not sure why PJ Moore is not in that line-up either.

Are we going back to the evil days of quota systems again? I heard before the MDC got in power there was an 8-3 policy in favour of black cricketers in the national side for a while. Obviously raza/Taylor/Williams would fit that bill but would the incluion of waller be unpalatable to some factions thus taking it to four? i hope this isnt the case as I believe in a meritocracy

Given there are only 5 white cricketers left in Zimbabwe a quota system hardly seems necessary.
