Can anyone give some insight into Alistair Campbell ?? I saw he was in the IPL commentary box. Anybody know if he's still part of ZC ?
I hear he is on the outskirts of ZC speculation says he is "consulting" for a few years(similar to what some CEOs will be doing as they keep their jobs...doing less for more- is controlling a franchise deal with an Indian phone company in Zim- phones are called Karbonn- the word is that it'll be better to send your gardener with a message than bother with a Karbonn!?
I like this jimmy guy.

So essentially AC is no longer a 'Mr Big' in ZC. How convenient now the money has dried up

In fairness to him I think his hands were always tied. He knew what had to be done but was unable to make the necessary changes. Essentially he was used as window dressing to some degree. I feel that perhaps he could have put his hand up at some point and cried foul. I'm not sure what that would have achieved other than really alienating him from the big dogs in ZC. That Karbonn thing is going to work. He has made a deal with the Gov so civil servants can buy his stuff on credit and then he gets their money deducted from their monthly wage. With our bloated, poorly educated civil servants it's essentially a captive market. I think the main thing is tablets and computers and not cell phones. It's a cleverly thought out plan and there are a few people involved. White guys can't do this without a bigwig in the background, it would be a poor show if it's one of the guys on the ZC board. Don't think it is though.

Who would have thought that something like a little old monsoon could affect a cricket tour

A drought for Zim cricket and monsoons elsewhere. I saw a piece on BBC and was wondering about the cricket, guess this answers it. What next?

Does anyone know where BT, Hammy, Vusi and Sean are? Surely they need to be in the nets?

I like this Jimmy guy too! :D Obviously my name isn't Jimmy but i like me too ;)
Karbonns are being sold to civil servants and doing quite well, despite continuous breakdowns with phones and now of course non-payment of civil servants, doh! I met AC recently and was not impressed-clearly he is just trying to make a living-just not the way my morals would allow me.
BT Hammy etc are heading up for fitness tests next week apparently-sulking because they got screwed over in World cup payments-surprise!!
All is well on the ZC front as they can't pay their staff/players but are now building a cricket stadium in Vic Falls.
The Zim A tour is cancelled allegedly because of possible rain, probably because the players demanded a wage higher than $100 a week, so the ever present, nasty gremlins who expect players to play for their country for free, yet they themselves never work for their country for free, called the tour off
Last one out shut the door, and turn the lights off---actually forget the latter because ZESA is broken again even if you pre-pay. Perhaps that money is being used to pay the civil servants to pay the AC's of this world?
