Chatara gets a wicket first ball back
Poor captaincy holding him back this long. Pace troubles UAE, a short spell earlier could have broken that big partnership.

What a catch Sean! Chatara might feel he has been denied wickets with better deliveries. Can this lift us just like Hammy lifted Williams after the catch?

Don't get the doom and gloom, clearly a good batting pitch. On another note we have looked very good in the field.

Chigumbura must bowl, the spinners are making no effect the seamers are doing all the damage, he is the captain he has to take some responsibility .....

Re: [Match Thread] UAE v Zimbabwe (World Cup Pool B)
I was looking forward to seeing chibahba bat today, which is a shame :/ so far chakabva has been awful in the field. Zimfan rightly pointed out we have been good in the field but they are just picking up singles willy nilly.
Williams has bowled poorly really. The wicket looks good so I wouldn't slit your wrists just yet. Some positives to take away so far, especially the bowling of mire, kamungozi and chatara. Kamungozi attacks the stumps every single ball which is impressive. But overall the bowling attack isn't very potent. A Jarvis or Vitori would have been priceless here, as the UAE (as already mentioned) are clueless against even the 130-133 pace of Mire.
Me and my grandpa are watching this with our Zim flag up and the shirts on, and he was sayig that this Zimbabwe side has as good a batting line up as the 99 side, it just lacks the mental stability. He said with a middle order of Taylor, Williams, chigumbura and Ervine this side should crunch through most bowling attacks, but their lack of believe will hold them back. You fellas agree ?

Don't understand all these commentators going gaga about Mire's action. Yes, he is putting in a lot of effort at the end of it and it looks smooth, but it does not look anything special. Looks more like a toned down version of Dougie Hondo who himself was not that successful except in patches. I'm not entirely sold on Mire the bowler. Another of those big scoring overs seems to be just around the corner against better batting teams.
Yes Williams has been less impressive today with the ball too.
