Still bowling lots of overs and scoring lots of runs, maybe not the big hundreds but he's scoring half centuries and scoring runs when needed and when required. I think a senior player like Lamb would fit very very well into this side. I mean personally I can't see the likes of Mire and Ervine staying after this WC (if they do, great) but I think it's time for some fresh faces in the side. Give Wellington Mazakadza a go or one of the other young spinners doing a good job back home. Playing the old tried and tested Utsea and Matskinyeri will not aid but only hinder our game.
lamb is a very good spinner and can also bat . i also want to see him bat at 8 for zim

Yeah we're all shattered here the guys just got white line fever and couldn't hold their nerve .....

I'm not ready to dissect where and how this campaign has gone wrong I think I'll wait till it's actually over .....

If Mire thought he was going to show off his skills and get a few t20 contracts from this WC, well it hasn't happened so I doubt he'll be leaving yet. On the other hand I think Williams will be offered a county contract some where after his displays with bat and ball this tournament .....

I went to this match, it was a damn shame we didn't win in front of what was a pro-Zimbabwe crowd. It was our game to lose.

Chatara and Taylor looked top shelf. You can't blame Chigumbura for not being able to finish it off - firstly, it was gutsy to even come out and bat considering he was obviously injured and secondly too much was asked of him. It was a small total and our top and middle order should have done the job.

Sadly that loss signals the realistic end of our WC campaign (still mathematically possible but that's it). But there are some really promising signs - primarily being that we have not completely lost our way on the Australian and NZ pitches. The death bowling (except against Pakistan) has been atrocious but I think that's something that can be worked on. Otherwise the bowling upfront has been good (although there have been too many sundries), the batting has been pretty good, no complaints about the fielding either.

Hopefully we have some Test matches lined up in the next few months. I genuinely believe that we can take the momentum from this tournament into a Test series and do quite well.

I hired some zimbabweans since they can't seem to do too well in cricket.
