Re: Brendan Taylor appreciation thread
Captains knock by Taylor today. He's the heart of this team, showed why he should be captain across all formats.
121 at a 136 strike rate... great striking, and it's what you want to see of a quality batsman against mediocre bowling.
Taylor was the difference between all out for 180 and what we eventually ended up getting today.
Thanks for giving us a fighting chance today Captain Taylor.

He has also silenced the chatter about his lack of form away from home in this WC.
Re: Brendan Taylor appreciation thread
just makes me laugh when people even debate whether hes our best batter or not.
I laugh even harder when HHM was adamant Sibanda was our best.

Re: Brendan Taylor appreciation thread
I said it in the other post, but I'm smelling a contract for at least one of Taylor. A struggling side like Derbyshire or Leicester would love a player of his caliber. I know that his name has been flying around lancashire county circles for a while now, especially since Jarvis has joined them. I think that kinda knock last night will only help him get a contract. I'm really surprised though that he hasn't ever been picked up or offered any real meaningful contracts.SpitfiresKent wrote:Someone give this guy a county contract!

The eternal optimist in me says Taylor will stay as we have a decent coach now. Also did he not turn down a contract with Hampshire not so long ago? I like Taylor he is very loyal. We missed a trick not getting chinouya or vitori in the squad.
