Queens Sports Club - 21 June 2016
One of Zimbabwe's respected cricket grounds - Queens Sports Club infrastructure is slowly crumbling.

Stands at the 'rest of the grounds' are falling apart.

Some of the stands have blown off rooftops and wooden 'seats' piled off.

However, the grand stand appeared to be in 'good condition'.

Bulawayo24.com visited the grounds today and took these pictures including the one at the top.

And we're hosting Tests there next month. Would be a terrible impression to give to visiting fans - although to be fair there probably aren't that many travelling with NZ...

True , it's very disappointing how they've neglected Queens for so long.Hey, have you noticed that there's a smaller stats board at Queens that still has "T.Duffin" displayed on it.Small detail, but it just goes to show the level of negligence.

At least we have the new ground at Victoria Falls to look forward to. How is that coming along, they have been building it for a good 10 years now?

Have you looked where Mberengwa is on a map? Middle Earth is closer!
Makoni is a Manica name, so am wondering at why he's chosen this place?
Wait.... so remote that nobody will ever go there to check how the money is being spent. Not so stupid after all.
Most of the poor decisions happen in the offices but you still need a foot soldier to do the dirty work, I think he's done more damage to our game than anyone else.

I have been helping trying to broker a deal between ZC and a local developer I know to tear down and put a retirement living complex on it.

I will get a 2% finders fee if it goes through, which is a 4 figure bonanza for me if I get it going.


That should solve the decrepid issues with the ground.
