Why does Zim never try play just 2 seamers, given our lack of dangerous pace bowling? Sri Lanka managed fine with that. Put in someone like Chisoro instead of a 3rd seamer, or rather Wellington, but I don't think he's in the squad (though I would of had him there).

Sod all this talk about Chinouya and Muzarabani, Vitori as well if he isn't 100% interested in playing for his country, bring in Madziva, at least the lad has shown he's got guts and some pride in the shirt he wears

100% Neville always has a go and could add with bat and ball, although his lack of pace could be an issue.maybe a swap for Donnie if his bowling doesn't improve ....

I swear I'm a curse for the side, I didn't want to watch cause I was too nervous but I was keeping updated on the scores. Once I saw Tino and Hami doing well I decided to watch, first ball I saw was Tino get out and then another 4 in quick succession.....

guys, stop cumming over Madziva or Donald if you want them for their batting.

They are there to get wickets, not on the strength of their batting.

Only when its a line ball does that factor in.

Next test:
cremer
mumba
Vitori
Chisoro

The batsman were rather useless in this game I mean if Mumba can face 62 balls then Ervine can just sit out the next game he is badly out of form.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

With Chatara and Tinashe out injured and Vitori out with what ever he is the rest of the bowlers are pretty similar so the fact Donald and Neville show some fight and can hold a bat put them ahead of the rest ....

as much as Donald has been doing well with the bat I agree that he doesn't make our ultimate test team because that's not what he is in the team to do. we could look at it from another angle and say we wouldn't be chasing so many runs if we had another strike bowler. u might as well bat Chamu at 8 and let him bowl 15 overs which he can do.

As for Neville I'm a big fan but there must be a reason why he doesn't get picked for the longer version. he definitely makes my ODI team. Chisoro for me is very underrated. the pace and bounce he sometimes extracts make him very dangerous. he should be our second spinner. him and Vitori should be in the squad. Chatara needs at least half a domestic season to work on his pace and confidence

I read a comment over at cricinfo that DRS was not available for the first Test because the broadcasters only informed ZC a couple of days before the Test that they would have hawkeye for this series, and it was then too late to bring in a neutral 3rd umpire. However, DRS would be used for the second Test.

Any truth in this?

Good point actually. Chamu is capable of taking a few wickets, just like Donald might.

GOOD TEST TEAM MEANS 6 SPECIALIST BATSMAN, 1 ALLROUNDER & 4 BEST BOWLERS WHOSE JOB IS TO TAKE 20 WICKETS

TIRIPANO & MADZIVA LIKES TO BOWL ECONOMICAL SPELLS WHICH SUITS ODI NOT TEST, THEY ARE IN THE TEAM FOR TAKING WICKETS NOT SCORING RUNS, CONTRIBUTION WITH THE BAT IS EXTRA ADVANTAGE BUT TAKING WICKET IS THE FIRST PRIORITY & THEY HAVE FAILED.

NATHAN WALLER, PRINCE MASVAURE, VICTOR NAYUCHI, T.CHISORO TERI MUSAKANDA SHOULD REPLACE CHARI, MOWAYO, MASAKADZA,MPOFU, TIRIPANO
