[Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 2nd Test, Harare
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka: 2nd Test, Harare
Sri Lanka win the day, but we have enough of an opening to do something useful still

Need to make early inroads tomorrow. It's a damn shame we didn't pick up another wicket today to get into the tail.
Would be great if we could restrict them to 350 or so.

Probably it was a tactical mistake not to give a longer spell for Hamilton. He was keeping it tight and the batsmen were getting frustrated. And Williams was bowling better (with flatter trajectory and firing it in) than Waller and Cremer at some stage, with no hit me balls. We missed a trick by not having them bowl longer spells. Hope we can frustrate the remaining SL batsmen to throw their wickets away today if we can't get them by bowling peaches. Both Mpofu and Mumba bowled too many hit me balls, and so too Waller and Cremer (except his last spell, which was good)

I'd be happy with restricting them to anything with a 3 in front of it. Would be a good improvement. 340 would be lovely but hard to see one of our guys completely running through the tail.

I've seen poorer reviews from Cook and Mushfiqur in the recent series. But this wasn't a great review either.
The other thing is with the reviews reset at 80 overs and this being a crucial breakthrough its probaby wise to review. No need to save the reviews for if this same pair are on 400-5, or to use them agains the #11 batter.
So all things considered, it was worth the review.

First day of this series I have not been able to watch live. Following on Cricinfo and sounds like this is a bad start for the day already with a wasted review and a dropped catch.

Lovely catch and deserved

That one was really quite unforgiveable.
