Real shame . It means he has lost his national contract . Still think he is the second best limited overs bowler we have with Chatara first.
Im sorry TapsC I like a lot of what you write and you seem to know the game well but Tinashe is a poor ODI bowler.

Yes he bowls well up front keeping it tight but he has only 65 wickets in 65 matches so he's not a strike bowler and he's probably the worse 'death' bowler we have.

An average of 46

Strike rate of 50

Economy of 5.6

Just not good enough.

In Tests he is a different beast and if he's fit and can replicate his Bangladesh 2014 form he is one of the first picked.

Robin Brown, Panyangara's coach at Midlands Rhinos, says he was not even offered a contract with Rhinos because he was basically lazy and unfit, with a poor attitude. Sad, but his own fault.

It is sad. A couple years ago, he was the leading bowler in the country. Remember the victory over Pakistan.

Zim aren't really strong enough for players to waste their talent. By the sounds of it, this is the last we have seen of him.

Thanks for the insight John

This was always the big disclaimer for Tinashe when talking about Test Lineups

Hhm has been berating us here on the forum for 'ignoring Panyangara's greatness' but the whole time we were right to be cautious

Im sure he'll find a way to blame Streak or Taibu for this anyways

Panyangara at his best would be valuable for the bowling attack, but if he isn't willing to take his fitness and training seriously then the selectors are right to look elsewhere.

Told y'all something was up with him.

If JWards insight is true (and absolutely no reason to doubt this whatsoever) then it appears we are dealing with a guy who has lost his drive and passion for the game full stop. Perhaps the return from injury was just mentally and physically too much of a mountain to climb for him.

Obesity during the heyday of your career as an elite fast bowler is a surefire sign of laziness or disinterest and is really inexcusable.

I guarantee this signing for the cats is just an excuse for him to come to Australia with sponsorship for a new life.

Makes sense doesnt it?
1)pick the lowest level team on the hunt for players
2)market yourself as a recent international paceman and flaunt your test record from 2 years ago
3)tell them you'll pay for yourself to arrive and the only payment you want is a long (or even not that long) term visa sponsorship
4) Ask for assistance in employment, Joe, the 45 yr old number 6 batsman who bowls a bit off off spin in their third grade team needs a labourer for his plumbing company and will take him on.
5) find a desperate fat aussie slag and throw her a few pies and a wink and get the spouse visa

Yes I also heard from Robin Brown the other day, and he said he couldn’t wait to tell Panyangara that he wasn’t needed. I’ve had interactions with Tinashe and he is a nasty piece of work. Arrogant, lazy as can be, was actually offered incentive money a few years ago to lose weight but didn’t do much if anything about that. A good new ball bowler but horrible in literally every other facet of cricket, on and off the field. Good riddance.

Can we start a Zimbos in Australia Thread the following are in Australia

Nksona Mpofu Spotted on a plane to Australia with Kamnungozi
Brandon Diplock
Tafadzwa Kamungozi

Its a positive will be interesting to see what will come out of it. The lads are thinking long term and with Panyangara there must be a temptation to settle long term similar to Muapriwa
Nkosana Mpofu and Brandon Diplock are playing in the same team in Australia. They are playing in the 2nd best league in Victoria, so they’ll be playing a high standard and will be good to follow them. Nkosana arrived this week while Diplock has played a game already. Got 2 wickets and 30 odd runs. Sloandog maybe you could get some words from your mate Diplock on how things go.
