Australia 226 all out - I think that Zim will be happy with this outcome. Bowling-wise jarvis and Elton have done well. Mushangwe a bit toothless. Chinouya and Chatara OK, but not exactly seeting the world alight.

I'm smiling smugly as I see that Warner was bowled for 6, after a few well-publicised remarks which said he'd be faced with better practice in the nets in England. :D
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Yep, that's a good day's work bowling-wise. Pleased to see Elton successfully shoulder the burden of fourth seamer.

And David Warner, the less said, the better ... :P

A few quick wickets. We need Masakadza and Taylor to hang in there until stumps.
This is not an imposing total, I think the team would be disappointed if they didn't take a first innings lead.

mneh. Wickets tumbling. Time for Maruma to prove why he was deemed good enough for the openinmg spot in that test match.

The trio of Cremer, Vitori and Williams suffered injuries during their preparations which means Zimbabwe have now a squad of 14 players which the coach said is still fine.
Vitori has stitches on his finger while Williams suffered a harmstring injury and Cremer has a leg injury and are all out of the squad.

Oh my, these three are really made of glass. :(

No mention whether any of them will be fit to face India.

Well, that just completely contradicts The Independent's story of resting Williams. They have even quoted Givemore Makoni on that. Really appalling journalism.

And Maruma explodes and gets out in the last over to sum up a dismal batting display by the team (again) after a very promising effort on the field.

Well I suppose it would make sense to rest an injured player, but it's not like we expect good communication coming out of Zimbabwe right now.

The last time the players rested as a a whole group was when they came back together as a squad to get ready for the india series and they had not been paid so they boycotted practice and the official line was that they were resting... But this may not be the case with Williams and Usteya. Just Saying.

Elton gone first ball. We are motorboating up sh!t creek now. He's going to have to bowl out of his skin to deserve a place in the side.
