Poor from Shumba. Kaia was on one knee and would have never made it to the none strikers end.
I've seen enough there though from Shumba to know he's one for the future though.

I'm hoping for this headline tomorrow:
"Roy Kaia, whose career got switched off with the floodlights at Lahore, lights up Harare"

Just gutted by that silly run out. I'm still very excited by Shumba though. Lots of talent there.
We will see Wes & Milton opening in Tests together one day. I'm sure of it.

Madhevere, Shumba, Myers and Burl need to be the bedrock of the batting line up in tests after the big 4 retire.
Those 4 have so much talent.

Is it too much to expect Chakabva to be at least someone like a Niroshan Dickwella? We don't want a Flower or a Sanga or a Dhoni here.

I still think Tari has a lot to offer in test cricket. He has so much time to play the ball, he just has a major technical deficiency in that when he defends his leg is straight almost. He doesn't seem to lean into it.
Still, the talent is there to succeed, the rest will follow.

Hoping Kaia-Chakabva and then Don-Chisoro will help us in reaching 200

Agreed - I've always been a big supporter of Tari. At the moment though he's probably the one to miss out when Sean returns next Test.sloandog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 10:49 amI still think Tari has a lot to offer in test cricket. If we had decent coaches to help him, he could come really good. But.....we don't. Hopefully he can work on things himself.
