I don't agree with his. A lot of people will speak up if their boss is a prick or take the matter to the union or HR. There is no guarantee that the next job is going to be better, but staying where you are isn't going to make things better, so you seek new options and new solutions.
It's very unfair to tell people to suck it in when they get treated like crap. The way the people get treated needs to change. If your boss kept telling everyone else that you were a terrible persona and kept giving you crap jobs, then when you spoke to him about it he began to make your life even worse and kept carrying on like a twat, would you just accept it?
