[Series Thread] Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh
Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh
Matsikenyeri produced the sort of innings thats not wanted when you are chasing 321. Only 1 boundary in 51 balls is far too poor a return

Its all over now, if only the shots of either Coventry / Williams had carried the distance, the story could well have been different

Better batting display today, although still not great. Bowling was what did us in though - again...

Two matches and not able to bat out full 50 Overs.
Wicket at QSC remains high scoring. Remember the mayhem Yousuf yohanna created when in all matches 300 plus were scored. And we are not able to play full overs. Shameful.
And what to say about Matsi? Or captain's promotion? Disgusting. I think when all the players will come in form, series will be already over. Good batting by Coventry, Williams and Elton though.

Good effort from some, much to do for others, new captain required as soon as possible.
I would have Mutizwa in for game number 3 without a doubt, he should have been there for games 1 and 2 as well.

Yes. When you lost 4 wickets under 100 chasing 320 odd, you really have very narrow hope. Good to see that Zimbabwe has done an excellent job after loosing 4 for 91. But at the end, it was not enough. Should loose 1 or 2 wickets instead of 4 (when Zimbabwe were 100) could write the story different.CrimsonAvenger wrote:Its all over now, if only the shots of either Coventry / Williams had carried the distance, the story could well have been different
With an improved performance today and there are 3 more matches to go, Zimbabwe still have a chance to come back.

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh
If Zimbabwe make appropriate changes in their team composition and the fact that Bangladesh has a depleted pace attack(Three of their key bowlers are unable to play for fitness issues).Zimbabwe can give Bangladesh a run for their money.
Having said that Saqib Is a one man demolisher. So it won't be easy an easy task for Zimbabwe. But it is not impossible as well. In one day cricket upsets cannot be ruled out.
May the best team win!
