Yet another LA failure from PJ Moor. ODI games are just not his sort of games.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Couple of questions for John Ward

Is Mashinge injured? He hasn’t played in the Pro50 the last few weeks, I was hoping to see him in the UAE series

Is Mire available or has he ditched Zimbabwe again?

Thanks in advance ✌🏻
I have wondered both myself recently, but haven't yet found the answers - will try to do so.

Tbf he has scored two fifty plus scores from five innings, the issue being the other three innings have all been under 10 & out

Thanks John, I feel these two guys are players who could trouble Afghanistan with their power and pace

Solomon mire can piss off , waste of talent and overated . Hearts not in it and doesn’t even bowl anymore . Zim so badly need a pace allrounder #callbligzup
The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!

Mashinge has just been unwell, and hopes to play in tomorrow's match. Mire I am told is still "on call" for Zimbabwe if selected. In my view, though, he is just not an opener; he did well for us in the World Cup in Australia down the order, and I am sure would have been much more successful for us down there. Unfortunately we have a problem that too many of our players are like that, so we find it so difficult to get a good opening pair and those pushed into it fail to do themselves justice or give the team much in the way of good starts.

I think Solomon would have done himself much more justice had he been able to play in the middle order instead of being pushed into opening.

Don't get the fuss about Burl, the guy has never opened as has never got past 30 in international cricket. Clearly a good player but does not have the performances or a weight of runs in ODI cricket to fall back on.
