The very strategy I said Zim should adopt from the very beginning.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2017 1:10 pmIt looks like this lead is not going to last very long. Currently 28 ahead...
I reckon it's time to go ultra-defensive. We have to draw this out as long as we can.
You can't score just 320 runs over two rain-affected days and come in with excellent over rates against a side that bats very deep.

Argh, neither of the front line spinners have done much. Cremer's got a few balls to fizz, Chisoro has bowled one or two where he's been unlucky but overall they haven't looked all that threatening (and in case one shocker per over from Cremer). Which makes it a little strange that Raza has done so well.
It's time to try something out there (we won't keep a lead now). Maybe try Masakadza's golden arm or Malcolm Waller.

What's the best we can hope for here? We concede a lead of 100 - score 300 in the third innings, set WI 200 to win?

Why are we bowling the two most unsuccessful bowlers of the day in tandem? This is insanely non-imaginative captaincy from Cremer. Does not try anything new at all for hours together.

Sad and frustrating to watch this innings....
Amusing comments from
Heath Streak before this test match - "Maybe we can use guys like Hamilton Masakadza and Malcolm Waller more in the next Test match and see how they can do"

Wheels have totally fallen off now. Come on, try Masakadza or Waller or something.
Around the wicket to Dowrich has been interesting I suppose, but Cremer's just having a bad day - I don't think he'll be able to buy a wicket.
