Speaking of records, I thought I better put this on record before the ODI series starts
Brendan Taylor is the most successful captain in Test cricket history, with a 100% winning record. He is also the most successful captain in international cricket, with a 100% winning record. He might be a joint record holder with someone, but you get the picture
I think it was mentioned that Taylor is the 29th Test player to score a century on debut as captain. I wonder how many of those captains also were on the winning side in the Test match, scored a half century in the other innings and won the man of the match award (if awarded in the match)? I'd imagine as far as performances go, it would be right up there.

Also the second person to score his debut hundred in his debut Test as captain (if that makes sense), the other being Davy Houghton in Zimbabwe's inaugural Test against India.
