Dear Minister Hlongwane
There are many answers to the ZC downward spiral. The question is what is the correct solution and are you tough enough and astute enough to implement the correct solution.
Ironically the problem also lies in part within your party, a recent report by MDC member Eddie Cross included this:After 35 years in power you would have thought that they might have learned a little about how to govern a country. But they have been so busy trying to manipulate our democracy and to concentrate control and wealth in the hands of a few that the basic lessons seem to have been lost in the mayhem.
Now substitute cricket and the different time frame-perhaps starting when the government approved racist quotas were implemented by Bvute- into the above passage and you see the similarities.
The secret lies in the few that enjoy chaos and mediocrity in order to continue leeching off money in the smoke filled background.
The few that are foregoing National pride for their own gain-i no not a better definition of treason!
When the few, in particular the Metbank crew and the duo of Mrs Lupepe and Mr Mukondiwa whom between them earn a minimum of $25k a month and yet are amongst the countries worst CFO and assistant CFO overseeing a debt for ZC never seen or experienced before. Yet they remain in position??
Rumour has it that they are the fulcrum Mr Minister, the mouthpieces between the backseat big boys and keeping cricket firmly in their hands. They routinely freeze out dissenters, stop payments to suppliers that cry for their monies owed after services provided-just to flex their muscles and show they are the bully boys on the block. Ask around Mr Minister many businesses will not deal with ZC because they are corrupt and the businesses are approached by ZC for personal favours. Just look at the support The Heath Streak Academy receives and then glide some 800m to Queens where there is no support--why? Simple- the persons in charge of Queens are almost like lepers,no one will go near them because of their business practices and lack of morality- and they are the face of ZC in Matabeleland.
Mr Minister recently allegations have been whispered that ZC Admin are too busy trying to quench the Players Union as it tries to raise its' valiant head again. Yes Mr Minister players in the National squad that should be focusing on playing and winning cricket to boost our lowly egos and National pride. They have their heads full of bribes and threats from the ZC admin- yes Mr Minister some players have been offered as much as $20k a month to "guide and snitch" on the players union- so that it will fail.
I could go on but that would make a book of it. I know you have listened to many of us over the last 3months-me in particular. If there is one thing you need to do-- give the players their Union, put your public weight behind them creating their Union- once this is achieved then further transparency and accountability will be demanded by the players themselves and the boat should even out, National Pride restored and continuous stream of forex expected(not just for the few greedy people)
- what will be your legacy?
Yours Sincerely

Well said Jimmy this minister needs to act and root out the corruption. Can't see that happening mind. The ICC needs to shut this cesspit down until they find people who can run the game properly.

In the absence of this its just talk like the Corruptiuon Commission set up by the head of state, what can possibly come from that.jimmylesaint wrote:Dear Minister Hlongwane

For me, seeing anything come right in Zim is about as likely as the Sahara turning into a rainforest. I have 0% hope thanks to these useless people who took over Rhodesia.

Mate 99% of Africans seem to do nothing but mess things up. Maybe you are part of the proactive and positive 1% but it's written all over the face of the continent. It seems to take 20 years for them to mess up an entire country once independence is achieved, and it just makes me miserable. Zim was doomed in 2001 ... 20 years after independence and South Africa is slipping very quickly 20 years on...What a shame. I'm not trying to create problems but there is absolutely no hope at all for Zimbabwe as a country let alone Zim Cricket...Manase was part of the 1% proactive group. But ousted as he wasn't letting his fellow Africans steal money.bayhaus wrote:Flakeman wrote:I have 0% hope thanks to these useless people who took over Rhodesia.
