Dean DuPlessis interview with Brendan Taylor
Dean DuPlessis interview with Brendan Taylor
Things I noticed from the interview .....
Dean talks way too much, he was too worried about giving his opinion should have asked more questions ......
BRMT talks about the BD tour saying he had never hated cricket so much, attacks Mongongo saying he shouted, swore and threatened to drop players, things were much better under Whatmore .....
Seemed to have a dig about sharing the captaincy with Elton ......
Hinted some players on that BD tour weren't up to standard ......
Claimed the bowlers are lazy and the players didn't care about loosing ......

Thanks for that jaybro, it really was cool and honest. BT also doesn't think too highly of Makhaya as a coach by the sound of it.jaybro wrote: Dean talks way too much, he was too worried about giving his opinion should have asked more questions ......

Kind of harsh on the bowlers too. I enjoyed Dean's interview.
Have to wonder how good Zimbabwe would be if they had the Flower brothers and Heath Streak running the team now. I like Dav as a coach, but it's amazing how good Zim could be if selection to the team was based on talent instead of politics.

Bayhaus what are u on about? He seemed to actually like the idea of Ntini.
Anyway, I wish the "are you gonna come back?" Question had been asked.
And what do u think of the current board

The "are you gonna come back" question is totally pointless at this stage, BRM is hardly likely to chuck the remainder of his Nottinghamshire contract to come back and play in Zim, is he ?, if he did then I'd have him locked up in a lunatic wardFlakeman wrote:Bayhaus what are u on about? Taylor won't come back. If he has another season like he did last season, he'll get contract extensions or other county's will be after him. Ervine has hardly lit up the County scene with his performances at Hampshire for the past 12 years, yet he's been given a benefit year this year!Train Driver wrote:The "are you gonna come back" question is totally pointless at this stage, BRM is hardly likely to chuck the remainder of his Nottinghamshire contract to come back and play in Zim, is he ?, if he did then I'd have him locked up in a lunatic wardFlakeman wrote:Bayhaus what are u on about? Taylor, and rightly so, shouldn't return to ZC. He's better than that and he's done his time with ZC
Re: Dean DuPlessis interview with Brendan Taylor
BRMT liked the idea of Ntini he actually liked all the coaches apart from Mongongo, it was Dean who thought Whatmore is past his used by date and also didn't think Ntini was ready to coach an international team ......
