Trent Jayden should be in the national team

Post by watermelon »

Watermelon here,
Trent Jayden should be in the national team from the next tour onwards.

Heath streak and friends have basically said elton is a black dog and not worthy of national honours. Regardless of how myself and Aydee feels on the subject that's the go and we can't change it.

So we should get Trent Jayden in the team.

Trent has lit up the 19s team like a fire in Tennessee and is the future. We need to pay that kid what he's worth and get him long term. A 16 yr old on national money can do some unbelievable damage and it needs to happen. He will be a stalwart by 19 and average 38.17 by the time Donald trumps up for de election so we need to get him in asap

And what about him? maybe he might like to go to University and learn something which will make him some money during his life, what sort of prospect is being a cricketer in Zimbabwe?

Maybe a few people on this forum might like to think about the life prospects of young Zimbabwean cricketers before they attack them for not staying on as underpaid, or not paid at all, players

He's called Jayden Trent Schadendorf for heaven's sake. And let him play some grown-up cricket first.

We might have to ask Athanasios John Traicos , Alexander Graeme Creamer and Arnaldous Mauritius Blignaut to identify the first, middle and last names of this kid :)

Now now CA, it's Cremer and Arnoldus ;)

Why has nobody mentioned those other two well known cricinfo players, Robinson Keiran and Oldreive Declan?

The Cremer one was intentional, to avoid him from getting automatically knighted :)

I don't care what his name is, I'd be giving him an ODI cap as soon as we play our next series.

I mean the odds are he's not going to stick around anyway, so why not give him a cap now? And given he's so young it won't impact his England ambitions if he does kick on with cricket.

If he happens to burst on to the scene in ODI's, well then he's a known quantity and you throw money at him to have him stay.

The reality is the white kids, bar the bloody good blokes like PJ Moor, aren't going to stick around so why not try something a bit different to have the more talented ones re-consider staying.

Taylor, Chigumbura, Cremer and co were blooded early, there's nothing wrong with it. The problem there was it was all at the same time and they had no senior players to look up to.

Fear not, his knighthood has been removed. For now. :)
