i dont know what to say anymore ... dabengwa back in our team? i am really disapointed and did not think alistair campbell would give him another crack. our pace bowling isnt up to scratch and cremer hasnt even taken a wicket yet and gone for plenty. on a positive taylor is definately proven himself as our best batsmen and a world class one of that. we have nothing to lose now we must show spirit like we did against india and sri lank and prove we dare to dream. Nicolson needs a crack surely mpofu, masakadza and chigs all go for more than 8 an over he cant do anyworse , the fella swings the ball at around 130 plus clicks . i just hope we can take some more wickets and even pull off a miracle win because we are capable . we are just missing a quality bowler atmm BRING BACK PRICE.

What is missing is not just Price the bowler, it is his enthusiasm, never say die attitude, self confidence, and the ability to lift the morale of the entire (bowling) team just by his presence. Little nuggets of experiential knowledge that he would have shared with other bowlers standing at mid-on or mid-off are also off the menu. He is not just a leader, a legend that others would invariably look up to. In his absence, only Utseya has done well, thanks to his own vast experience. Hope Price is back as soon as possible.

I've actually been very impressed with Utsea recently. He hardly spins the ball atall but he's really improved as an offspinner

Utseya despite lots of criticism has been consistent somewhat. I think what most people hadn't realised until now is that although he doesn't take many wickets, Utseya does slow down an innings exceptionally well.sloandog wrote:I've actually been very impressed with Utsea recently. Check the stats on that link above. On an 'average', between Utseya and Price, we are looking at 70 runs in 20 overs. If we had 2 Uteseya's and 2 Price's (LOL!) we'd probably be chasing less than 200 in a whole match - thats amazing!

We argued with another fan when he said Usteya was only in the team cos he was captain but he has consistently performed.clikcspeed wrote:Utseya despite lots of criticism has been consistent somewhat.
He is a little constrictor and he goes through his overs really quicklysloandog wrote:Utseya does slow down an innings exceptionally well.
That is a gem of a post man! I felt like taking my flag out and waving it while beating my chest! I think the players miss Price more than we do. We jump on the edge of our seats when Price comes out to bowl and we become very expectant, whether it is just a glare or a few words. I respect Price so much!andybligz wrote:What is missing is not just Price the bowler, elf confidence, and the ability to lift the morale of the entire (bowling) team just by his presence. Price is great. He acts like a fast bowler even though hes a spinner.
