[Match Thread] South Africa v Zimbabwe (WC Warm-Ups)
Winning against S.A will be sweet but difficult although not imposible. The current S.A side is unpredictable they look a touch shakey than the teams they normaly field. We lost against them a couple of months back but in the sub-continent we will be a bit more competative.
This time we have Price in- on a more spin friendly wicket. S.A are likely to rest Smith and/Kallis coz they dont want to rush back and risk the latter after recovering from injury. Personally i want us to beat a full strength S.A side.
Imran Tahir might be unleashed for the first time and it will be interesting to see how he plays. Batsman to watch will be Amla & Duminy who are playing well & have enjoyed tearing our bowlers apart at will last time we played.
Zim batsmen will do well to share the load & not overload Taylor with work. I hope we will continue winning and not repeat what happened in the 20/20 world cup where we beat Australia in a warm-up & performed dismally when the tourney started.
Ray Price is now mentoring the bowler and Taibu the batsmen including assisting Chigumbura with his captaincy. It must be something Butcher introduced, Taibu's batting form doesnt do his new role good at the moment.

Wicket: Coventry (c Imran Tahir b Morkel 21). Zimbabwe 49/1 after 9.5 overs.
Wicket: Taibu (c Smith b Morkel 0). Zimbabwe 49/2 after 10 overs.
First-ball duck for Taibu, and Morkel on a hat-trick.

50-2, Taibu the batting mentor out, i've always thought Chakabva deserves the number 3 spot. Tiba should be dropped

Don't believe the warm-up matches are being broadcast. Cricinfo have live scoring, thoughTrevor wrote:Does anyone have a live link to the match?
