Yep, but it's all about the SA provinces, it seems. Nothing more than a glorified domestic pay-day.AussieZimFan wrote:Would have thought Uganda may have fielded a team in this

Re: Africa T20 Cup
If Zim send a national team, and not a "Zimbabwe Provinces" type team, then they should win comfortably right?
Re: Africa T20 Cup
Doubt it. All franchise players will be available for their provinces. Zim would have a chance, but I doubt they'd be favourites...brmtaylor.com admin wrote:If Zim send a national team, and not a "Zimbabwe Provinces" type team, then they should win comfortably right?

The 13 provincial sides will each be allowed to field a maximum of four franchise players and one international. They will also be required to have at least two Under-21 players and have to fulfill the transformation quota of at least six players of colour including at least three black Africans. No such restrictions apply to the three international sides.

ZIMBABWE Cricket will look to the future when they send a national representative side to the inaugural edition of the Africa Twenty20 Cup in South Africa later this year. Lovemore Banda, the ZC media and communications manager said they will second a team with a bias towards development to the tournament, which will act as a curtain raiser to the start of domestic cricket in South Africa.
Zimbabwe, Kenya and Namibia have been included in the 16 team month-long tournament which will comprise four pools of four teams.
Zimbabwe will be in Pool A where they will play against Easterns, Northerns and Western Province between 4 and 6 September.
The group winners will then meet in the semi-finals on 3 October with the final set for the following day.
“We will send a side heavily favouring development. Note too that tournament rules say at least two Under-21 players in each team. CSA will host a squad of 14 players and two officials on a bed and breakfast basis and provide ground travel if required. ZC will meet the return travel from Harare to the venue of group match or semi-final or final and daily allowances,’’ said Banda.
Former South African fast bowler Makhanya Ntini has been appointed the Africa T20 Ambassador.

Lol ...qoutas..
An African tournament with african teams and they are worried about the 1% of white people that could be in the teams..
How insecure and pedantic can you be when you are worried about the 1 percent of us.
what other continent on earth are worried about a populace of 1 percent ruling over the 99 percent majority.
Probably the ones responsible for the 'Arfica t20'
Im actually kind of flattered.
