A win the end is such a relief. Over the years we had so many of these 50/50 matches go against us. But we were playing against Oman of all teams. Granted that Jongwe did fairly good with the bat today we can't really go into the next game with the same team. Kaia should come in for Jongwe and Evans for Chatara but we all know the later won't ever happen.

Wonder what the bookies say about Sri Lanka next game?
They must be firm favorites.
We will get soundly trounced if we play like today.

The only reason Chatara got wickets is because they kept bowling him. Maybe Wellington would have got 3 wickets and conceded a third of the runs!

Chatara has to go. Great servant, loved his Test match bowling back in the day but he's cooked now.

Don't mind persevering with Madhevere, he's dynamite in the field and a handy bowling option. He surely will learn more from failing at international level than... what's the alternative right now, the Harare Friendlies League?

F***ing Finally. Not at all impressed with this win but I will take it man.

Phew! 6 points in the bag. We are now exactly in the same position as in 2018 but with 1 extra point in hand.
Yep, bank the points and let's never speak of this match again.

Scotland would've made us pay so we better sort out our bowling before then.

Hats off to Oman. They gave it everything. They have gained a fan
Yep, like the look of Oman.
Couldn't agree more on Chatara. He is off color more often than not. We cannot have such a weak link in the bowling attack. Somehow if we get through the Qualifiers, I'd say we need to try out several options in the Afghanistan series and see if Evans, Chatara, Jongwe, Nyauchi... Who is best suited.

So strange to pick Jongwe and then not bowl him. Are they suggesting he's a better bat than Kaia?
He really should have had a couple of overs today.

Nyauchi would have to offer a lot more with the ball than Evans or Jongwe to be in the mix because the other two offer batting. Don't see that happening.

Evans is hands down the best option. I don't know why they don't give him a long run. Just for comparison if Evans was having such poor outings like how Chatara is having, he would have been discarded very quickly.

I'm a little biased towards Evans, but I'm not wrong. He deserves a spot in the XI ahead of Chatara and it's a fact.

If Mutendira still has a say in selection Evans won't get an extended run. He just doesn't like him. Long story.

Jongwe looking a lot more svelte is interesting. Shining himself up for the WC, about 3 years too late but it shows good intent.

I agree, based on how bad Chatara has been.

Although Evans has been very up and down. Some great performances but some realy poor. No idea what he’s going to produce.

If he had done more with the bat then he’d be a shoe-in but he’s struggled with that too

Whilst we are short of batsmen the bowling stocks are also thin. We don't have any other quick bowlers in Zim.

Theres a Falcon youngster who's about 6ft 5 and a leftie that might end up being decent. That's if he doesn't go the academic route.

Evans isn't hands down the best option. A fit strong Jongwe is on a par. Don't underestimate him. If he really dropped to fighting weight and trained hard he's a helluva talented guy.
