The SRC is bluffing because they are broke. If they were on top of the situation why havent they given the interim board money to pay staff and fullfil their obligations in Bangladesh in September. Nobody is stopping that tour from going ahead. Why are the players all concerned I dont buy that plan B stuff. Everybody know no money=death. Simple

The blame game is all fun here online. Not in real life with hundreds affected.

Yes this current SRC board is clean. Might not be next month/year, but currently they’re about the most solid lot I’ve seen.
If the president's son in law uses his connections and removes the same guys he appointed in a year dont start crying that he is corrupt.

The worst part about all this is that its going to go down to racial lines. Even though I really hate this line of thought but before you dismiss what I have to say I want you to think about this.

Who really is going to suffer the most if we get expelled? The reality most if not all the players of non-colour come from a place where they have some sort of generational wealth. Im not saying they are stupid rich but they would be fine if ZC went bust. This is why I personally think you will find most of them will support this stance of let it burn anyway. This goes to the likes of Hogg Heath streak and many forum members who do not even live in Zimbabwe. An ancestry visa back to the first world is winning the lottery in this life.

Now most of the players admin and staff of colour come from nothing. They need this. This is why its hard for them to revolt. Dont think they agree with everything. They dont want to starve. Its easy to say screw Mukuhlani when you have options.

The crooks you are trying to remove by doing something that clearly violates ICC rules are comfortable. They will always have money. Who are you punishing?

Nobody said anything when they brought back Streak by unjustly firing Whatmore paying him 20k a month. When they broke the bank and their own 1 year contract rules to bring back BT and Jarvis. Nobody said anything when they paid them 1 year salary upfront. Nobody said anything when they went overbudget to host the qualifiers. Nobody said anything when Manase and AC where given free reign despite their flaws signing dodgy deals with TSM.

Think about this carefully. There are guaranteed fixtures from next year against the very best. The debt issue was solved. Guaranteed money which the ICC is monitoring and no longer giving them in bulk. What are we really losing going forward?

The ICC even think Sri Lanka has a worse board than us but I have NEVER seem a Sri Lankan saying they must burn down cricket forever in their country by breakig ICC rules.

Lets not let our emotions overpower our intelligence. Thats all I ask. There will be better opportunities

The tstotis were so arrogant that they didn’t even adhere to the very constitution that they’ve manipulated over the years to keep their kith and kin at the helm, that’s why.
SRC pounced on this non adherence. ICC are ignoring the facts, which is non compliance of their own constitution that they themselves wrote.
Exactly.

1. The SRC is using its oversight to say that ZC did not hold fair elections and therefore the board was illegitimate.
2. The ICC is saying is saying the SRC (as an extension of the government - let's be honest, that can't be disputed) interfered and that violates their rules.

It's possible that both statements are correct. But for the money to keep rolling in, the ICC say reinstate the old board. The SRC don't want to do that because the old ZC board allegedly violated the SRC Act.

The ICC, as powerful as it is with the money that it has, shouldn't be able to trump the law of the land.

That is a very good point, the ODI league is important because of the guaranteed fixtures.

But as a matter of principle, why should we allow the ICC to overrule the law?
As you said, they didn't ban Sri Lanka from any events - why should some countries be more equal than others in that respect?

Why did the ICC take this unusually harsh stance? If it is true that TM asked for suspension, is that really the sort of person we want running cricket?

Thats just the way it looks now. There is no more sitting on the fence here. There is no going back for many people now and this is why there is the "let it burn" brigade. They have played all their cards

For me if it means we lose BT Raza and co leave so that we still get cricket I am ok with that now. Some cricket is better than no cricket for me. Thats just my opinion. Its always the same characters putting us in this position yet nobody has ever tried to contest and win an election that we know of.

Expect a 2004 style breakup. Mlotshwa's source of power doesnt have the same power old man bob had. He can fall. Mlotshwa that is

Shake and Spill baby!

Got to solve this the way I think we should solve the aids epidemic. No medicine. Ride it out. they die and everyone else is free.

With ZC, some will need to starve to stifle the disease.
Dont be weak, put pressure on Mukhulani to resign, and lets build.

its sad people have lost tehri jobs but they should pressure Mukhulani to give up his 'hobby' for their livelihood, and the ICC to see sense.

Otherwise what are you supporting?
its like ZC is that daughter who becomes a prostitute.
You loved her before, you still love her. Now shes been all used and tapped up, so youre kind of numb and indifferent to her now.

Only after she puts down the crackpipe and stops slurping cumloads between cracked teeth can you start to connect again.

I'm glad you wrote this Taps. I've written something similar and scratched it a couple of times. They were never going to stand by and let the game recover after Mukuhlani "betrayed" BCCI, in exchange for huge sum sof money which would have been available to the masses. This is deliberate sabotage.

I know exactly what is happening here. The game will once again be a minority sport in Zimbabwe. That's the end game. ;)

And if you think I'm joking, Googly once wrote a whole post on this in which he opined about wanting cricekt in Zimbabwe to crash and burn. Boldly stating who would be able to afford the game. I never forgot that post, because it received plenty of support. A situation in which cricekt in Zimbabwe is like club/schools cricket - adminstered by "unpaid volunteers", played by those who can afford kit, boarding and flight tickets - is the end game. Sad!

I warned you sons of the soil many times over. You just wouldn't listen! Instead, you attached yourselves to causes that were designed to marginalise you.

If you guys remember, I did warn strongly that it was a bad move for ZC to betray "BCCI" at the voting table. That it would backfire badly, and that money was not worth it. Not only have ZC lost out of money from bilaterals with India since then, cricket in Zimbabwe is now under threat becasue of genuinely selfish people who were outside looking in.

If we lose BT, Raza, Jarvis... maybe Burl? Mire's already gone.

That leaves Ervine, Williams and Chatara as our international quality players. Maybe Masakadza if he can return to form.

Who can we compete against with one bowler and two and a half batsmen? When cricket gets to the Kenya level, won't we be looking back saying "gee, we should have at least tried to do something"?

It's now or never, it truly sucks for all of the people involved in cricket but now is the last possible time to roll the dice and sacrifice a sugar hit today for the chance of prosperity tomorrow.

Find that post for me Hhm. Whatever I wrote im sure you’ve taken it out of context again. Sons of the soil
Gimme a break.

Taps- over budget on the qualifiers? C’mon man, do you know how much money went missing in that “refurbishment” of facilities!!!! Enough for someone to retire on. There somebody should be going to jail. They ate nicely there.
It’s always been along racial lines, clearly defined by guys using that card to suit their own agenda, there you are not wrong.
