And both of you need to understand that there is no lockdown. If a mere 10% of the population disregard instructions then there is NO lockdown. Here and in Sa more than half are exposing themselves daily to infection.
People and the governments can say there’s a lockdown in place but there’s no such thing.

I can back up my point because of the way you talk about 'letting people perspire and might as well get on with it to kill people then we can move on'
We already know that the system in Zim is failed but the population continues to accept it. What we are saying is that a proper lockdown is the best way forward to tackle this crisis. The problem with Zim is that you have a government that does not care about its people and therefore them saying there is a lockdown is just to save face and not about instituting a proper lockdown.Googly wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 8:04 amAnd both of you need to understand that there is no lockdown. This is where the population needs to be smarter and think about their collective effort and how the lockdown functions. Not just saying that might as well let people continue in their daily lives and let those who die die.
The other issue is that Zim won't have as a bit a number as perhaps the States purely based on the number of arrivals in to the country. It is not to say that you wont get cases, but better management of the population would result in better management of the crisis, and less deaths. Again, you have a failed government so all of that is a dream land, and the population will continue to accept it. Might as well go have a grand opening ceremony of another bin.

Interesting stat is true that Black Americans are making up half of the fatalities of Covid. Didn't know.
I wonder if it's linked to the fact that something Iike 70% of American blacks have diabetes and even more have obesity.
Like how Asians go from looking 18 to 70 overnight, it seems that the same thing happens to black Americans in their mid thirties with obesity.
Don't think I've ever ince in my life seen a fit, but poor black American. I'm sure there's a few but I suspect they are like pacific islanders and virtually non existent.
We joke about their KFC and Popeyes obsession but the dark truth is it's killing them.

Truth be told the Chinese and Arabs are by far the most racist people on the planet. This is known. I always laugh when I tell people that all the racist abuse I have suffered in Europe was either by Syrian refugees( the irony) and white people way over 70 ( natural selection is taking care of them right now).Googly wrote: ↑Sun Apr 12, 2020 7:52 amI’m wondering if my black African brothers getting treated like citizens third class by the dog chompers and getting told to fuck off back to where they came from are feeling slightly sheepish?![]()
It doesn’t feel so good does it?
Anyway hopefully some good will come of it and we can set China’s aspirations back a few years on this continent.

Yes has to do with underlying comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, and the big one for COVID asthma. Asthma is much higher in African Americans for many reasons. Some may be genetic, others maybe access to healthcare, thirdly urban areas haver poorer air quality.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 8:50 amInteresting stat is true that Black Americans are making up half of the fatalities of Covid. There are thin but poor blacks in the USA. The truth is more that most poor people in the USA are overweight, whether they be white, hispanic, black, or miscellaneous. The USA is known for its high levels of obesity, but once you get into the wealthier communities you see far fewer overweight individuals, and most of them that are are probably older.
It is interesting that South Africa's medical system was preparing for a huge COVID-19 influx of patients and it hasn't happened. Are South Africans immune or something? The head medical official in the country seem mystified as to why the ventilators and hopsital beds haven't been needed.
