Re: India / Sri Lanka Triangular Series Confirmed
The spot that Sri Lanka took was supposed to be filled by New Zealand . I hope the tour will juss show that NZ cricket is not in control but they simply pulled out becoz of Political reasons .
Pliz selectors select the best team , and we are capable of causing one or two upsets

At least this is a positive getting some game time with different much stronger opposition, hopefully Zim will improve and the team will work harder to be competitive.

This is great news. Competition against stronger teams. That hope we pick a team that can won't collapse like we did in 3 games against west indies. Sean williams must come back in and Coventry play for whole series. Also india and Sri lanka play spin well so will need to rethink bowling line up and not play so many spinners or we may get carved up.

Re: India / Sri Lanka Triangular Series Confirmed
I think it's worth remembering that we gave Sri Lanka a good run for their money last time they were in Zim, and only lost in that series due to some questionable tactical decisions / failure to go for the kill. If we've learnt anything in the intervening 18 months, we should be able to beat them this time around, Zimbabwe Collapse™ permitting...

i think the coaching department will be looking into the famous collapse , and i dont see a repeat of that . Dead wood is definitely going to be chipped out .
And one requst is to change the captaincy . Our captain's decision can make or break a game .

Got to commend ZC for such a great marketing ploy. No Zimbabwe games on a weekend, thats a great way to get the crowds in and boost the popularity of the game.

Doubt they had much choice - looks like it's a straight-in, straight-out trip for both visiting sides, done in the shortest possible time. Willing to bet that India v Sri Lanka got the weekend games at the "request" of the broadcaster. Remember, back-to-back ODIs are now banned by the ICC, so they can only do one ODI each weekend.zimfan1 wrote:Got to commend ZC for such a great marketing ploy. At least the two T20s are over a weekend...
