One thing i used to notice with freshie indians in sydney, but possibly this was in my head or not representational, is when talking and interacting they tended to stand a little closer to you than i would say is generally understood in western culture, just a little closer to your private space.
I theorised this was because in india being crammed together is a way of life in alot of situations.
Fir a highly infectious covid flu though, thats one more cog in the spring of a hotbed for spreading the virus.

Re: Corona
India relaxed too quickly. They were allowing spectators in stadiums, holding big gatherings, and political rallies when they thought they had it under control, but the virus was not contained, they just reduced numbers.
Now Modi is hiding in his office the government are failing the people. I don't know how the cricket can continue with players earning millions, whilst the people are just outside on the street dying.

Re: Corona
Two players in KKR camp have tested positive, Serious trouble now for IPL to continue if more positive cases are discovered.
BCCI could have at least avoided high risk cities, but they didn't even want to do that.

Most Indians I know I just plain laid back to the point where even here in MELBOURNE I have to practically ask them to wash their hands.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 9:52 amOne thing i used to notice with freshie indians in sydney, but possibly this was in my head or not representational, is when talking and interacting they tended to stand a little closer to you than i would say is generally understood in western culture, just a little closer to your private space.

Re: Corona
Is IPL stil even as popular as it used to be?
Seems there’s more interest in the draft and all that than the gameplay
