The whole thing about having a larger pool of players is that sometimes you can pick a player based on form alone but in Zim we certainly don't have that luxury.
It should be the opposite way around mate. When you have a smaller player pool, taking advantage of good form becomes more important. It's not like there are 5 prodigies raising their hands to take that spot instead.

Craig probably will sit out, which I don't agree with.
Our guys fire then misfire partly because they don't get enough quality cricket.
When Ervine is in form he's a great player. His previous get out shot was a waft outside off which someone of his calibre shouldn't play, smacked of someone without enuf time in the middle. A few days of cricket and guys needing a rest is a bit lame, it's their office, pitch up for work.

Maru has been a bit unlucky with a couple of his dismissals.
I'm a big supporter.

Overlord's recent form has been great. It's what it's about, get a shot and grab it with both hands, all power to him.

Hey guys I’ve been super busy with work but I’ve been watching the highlights, been really impressed with the teams ability to get results despite not batting well up top.

But that certainly changed in this last game, great innings by both Ervine & Gumbie (although I see Slug got a life or two perhaps). If we can have Craig hitting the CWCQ in this type of form it gives us a great chance. Craig usually has patches of really good form (and patches of awful form) so he’s likely to put a few good scores together if he can keep in touch.

As Google said, Himbie has hit form at the right time and is taking his chance, looking at his record going into this match her only ever scored two List A fifties, but he somehow scored a measured ton against a quality bowling lineup.

This now gives the selectors a thing or two to think about as Gumbie can cover the backup keeper spot, so unless they continue with Marumani in the last two games and he can put in a score or two, he might not make the cut.

Joylord’s form also puts Kaia’s immediate future in limbo, im sure he’ll make the 15-man squad but he might not make the first XI. Unless of course they decide to open with both Kaia & Gumbie and take a more measured approach up the top of the order and try to avoid losing early wickets which might be a smart idea.

Lots to ponder but but good headaches for Dave rather than him scratching around for players.

Its seem Bradon Mavuta has fallen way behind in the packing order. Perhaps Dave has settled on the spinning all rounders and Wellington.

I'm a big believer of playing your in form players. Atm Gumbie is the man in form and Innocent isn't. So it has to be Gumbie.

Wesley is very valuable with the ball and he has got loads of talent, no doubt. He won't be dropped. It has to be Kaia. Madande has done more than enough to keep his place. He is looking good.

The fact neither Wes or Ervine have opened in this series tells me that neither of them will open in the qualifiers. Otherwise they’d be trying out there now.

I see no reason not to pick both Kaia and Gumbie to open. Hope we see it tomorrow

But then who misses out? Raza will have to be accomodated. I can't see Wesley missing out.

Reports saying that Ervine, Wellington and Gumbie (Sore finger) will be rested for the 5th ODI tomorrow.

Williams, Ngarvara and Raza likely to play.

Wessley currently yes.
He’ll still play a part as I’m sure we’ll have usual injuries or rotation etc during the tournament.

There’s a strong case for round pegs in round holes, E.g. genuine openers opening and not Wes/Ervine.

Fair. I imagine some rotation tomorrow and then hopefully we go with strongest XI for the final match
