Meanwhile ireland Chase 313 against usa in just 45 overs with 5 wickets in hand . Harry tector (who is a beast in this format) remains not out on 148 in just 122 balls
Ireland have a pretty good chance of qualifying as well. It will be hell of a fight indeed.
They have found two gems in tector and tucker . What zimbabwe thought they could do with shumba and madhevere

Batting beauty or absolute shit bowling?

They shouldn't be getting anywhere near 300 let alone the total we got.

Those economy rates are worrying

Oman all out for 339. Zimbabwe win by 27 runs . Evans was among the wickets . Ngarava was expensive .

Have to agree with this as things stand. I think Ireland have a good chance too. Got a feeling between the West Indies and Sri Lanka, one of them is going to miss out.

It’s between the 4 full members and could go any way. The two that qualify will be the two that don’t have slip up against an associate at some point.

I don't think so tbh. Even if they slip up against an associate they have a more than decent chance of making semis. When you reach semis, obviously points don't matter, it's just a knockout match.

There's very little margin for error here for the 4 full members. You can lose once, but two losses, and you're almost certainly cooked.

So ZIM can lose to the USA, for example, and it won't matter because USA won't qualify for the 2nd round and so the points won't carry forward. However, ZIM cannot lose to USA or Netherlands (group stage) AND then also lose to Scotland/Ireland in the Super 6s, UNLESS you beat both of West Indies and Sri Lanka.

Its gonna be a dogfight, just like in 2018. Except there's gonna be a lot more dogs, all of whom are bigger and stronger and faster than last time.

No Semi Finals. Super 6 and then the top 2 from the super 6 play the finals and qualify for the WC.

So no sudden death which is how it should be. Consistency gets rewarded.
