Is the USA game a completely dead rubber? Makes no odds whether we win or lose points wise or NRR?
Not sure about the NRR, but it makes sense to also disregard the NRR of games against the teams that didn’t qualify for the Super 6s

Apparently we'll be playing all three of our super 6 games in Bulawayo as cited by Zimbabwe Cricket on twitter.

Zimbabwe’s record at Queens Sports Club Bulawayo is

Played 75 ODIs since 1996 and have won 21 games with 48 losses 3 ties & 3 NR matches. Interestingly Zimbabwe hasn’t played an ODI there since 2018! That’s crazy!

Zimbabwe has played Sri Lanka at QSC 7 times with the Islanders winning on 5 occasions with two NR matches. So Zimbabwe has never beaten Sri Lanka in Bulawayo.

In Zimbabwe’s most recent ODI series at Bulawayo, they lost 5-0 to Pakistan, but that was the series after the last CWCQ debacle and as we know that was a weakened Zim side.

They did however play their group games at QSC at the CWCQ I. 2018 where they won 3 games and drew another.

And of course we did well at the T20Q last year there.

But HSC is a fortress now. Such a shame we aren’t playing there.

Can we issue a challenge to Bulawayo to see if the crowds can be as good as Harare? There's a historical rivalry between the cities...might as well use it to our advantage ! A decent public relations guru would be able to whip up a campaign in a matter of hours!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

From memory the crowds were pretty good 5-years ago, and since they’re so starved of cricket there, surely they’d turn up and pack the place out.

I’m wondering if the move to Bulawayo is for security/crowd control reasons?

10k+ in the ground yesterday, a couple thousand also on the rugby pitch and the police were having a tough time trying to turn people away and disperse crowds outside after it was at capacity. It didn’t feel particularly safe in there being so packed.

Also I wonder if they are nervous about having 20,000 angry people next door to the presidents house in case we fuck it up and don’t qualify or something
