Gumbie looks a far better keeper than Mandade, only 27 as well.
Yeah but I really don't want him to keep and open. Whilst keeping wicket his domestic record is unbelievably bad.

Can we not offer Williams, Ervine and Raza a semi-retirement?

Same salary, no Logan Cup or Test cricket. Our T10 and T20 tournaments last for about a week at a time. The List A tournament is about a month long. Williams has been doing it for a while and seems to be working out well for him. If they feel like playing a test then just let them. We need another 18 months minimum. Logan Cup cricket is what takes months to complete.

Well thats pretty much the arrangement for Williams already, for the last few years. Not a problem.
Already pretty much the arrangement for Raza - he's always overseas for leagues.

Having said that the transition does need to happen at some point. Preferably it will be in phases. ideally one of them will retire this year after the WC. Another 12 months later and another 12 months after that. Rather than all at once.

Ngarava bowled a slower ball at 75mph and the next ball was a seamer, hitting the bat hard, and it too was 75mph. They aren't right
