Not that DM is one at all, but there are still a couple of rotten apples in the middle that need to be retired. New blood, transparency and tighter controls.

Hopefully we got our bad game out of the way today. Fact is, we win one more game and we qualify.

Welly is going nowhere. Not sure why he only bowled 3 overs, he's our best spinner IMO. Has great control. We have a decent enuf squad and can swap out a couple of guys here and there, but don't see him ever sitting out.

I read an interview from maybe 1-2 years ago from David Mutendera. Seems he still has a chip on his shoulder from his playing days and lack of opportunities. He needs tovlet it go. Times are different now

Even though I have been banging om about it for ten years, I think by now we all know the 'academic route' is completely obsolete in 2023.

Wellington bowling only 3 overs today was a shocker. He is a very good bowler and had he bowled more the margin of win could have been higher.

There are plenty fellas with the same affliction, on both sides. The last lot fucked it up for 20 years straight up by being vindictive, ended up having to blame sanctions and El Nino when they ran out of excuses for not succeeding with the Master Plan.
Gen Z don't give a fuck unless they're told to.
I firmly believe the corner has been turned in that regard, but there's almost too much ground to make up.
Just witness the crowds. We're in this together and need the right people in the right places. Time for a few guys to be put out to pasture, just don't take anything else on the way out.

It wasn’t the most polished of Zimbabwe performances, but really I never felt like Oman was going to win the game. Zimbabwe definitely need to sort out their bowling before the SL game, whether or not they actually make a change to the lineup I’m not too sure.
I would be tempted to bring in Kaia and move Ervine down to first drop. I know Jongwe did well with the bat, but I am a little concerned about Hasaranga. I’m not sure what his record is like bowling to lefties, but that might be a ploy to stack the middle order with southpaws.
The Burl injury is a crucial one for Zimbabwe, and if he is unable to play it’s even more reason to bring in Kaia to open and shuffle everyone down. A middle order with Marumani at 6 & Jongwe at 7 is too risky imo.
The Chatara or Evans decision is certainly the one that is gaining the most debate here on the forum. I wouldn’t be against a change, but I think separation makes the heart grow founder, people are forgetting that Evans can go for plenty of runs too especially on decks like this.
They also need to sort out what the hell they’re doing with Wellington. The guy deserves to bowl more overs, I really don’t get it. The same thing happened in the Dutch series, Wellington was the pick of the bowlers in the 1st game then barely got a bowl in the second and was dropped for the final game.

Yeah, we fielded decently and apart from Williams scrambled ok with the bat. Even though Raza managed a century stand he looked like he was struggling to get into gear. The only thing to say about our bowling choices is that our opponents must struggle to know who is up next as we have no idea who the captain will throw the ball to
