There was loads during the qualifiers. The WI match that I attended, somewhere between 500 to 1000 white spectators easily.Googly wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 9:38 amWhat was hugely disappointing was the complete lack of white spectators. I think the Pakistani bookies outnumbered them 10:1.
No white kids or adults, literally less than 30 on each day. Of those 30, maybe 5 white teenagers.
It seems cricket has dropped off their radar and that's not being resurrected any time soon.

Ya I think the format had a bit to do with it, but still disappointing that more will turn out to watch an 14B rugby game.
Hopefully there's next year and word will have spread, but they need to advertise better. Everyone will enjoy it.

Perhaps the white audiences are a bit more discerning about their cricket than the Pakistani bookies? T10 is a crap format and makes even T20 look decent. I guess T10 is ok for following individual performances but does anyone really care who wins these games?

Night time Harare outside of the Borrowdale Bubble is a dangerous place for gentlemen of a certain hue, too many fine Shona ladies hawking dirt business to ever make it to HSC for something as unimportant as a t10 slog fest.

Or maybe that was the Ndebele ladies in Bulawayo when it was the Sri Lanka game. Who knows?!?

How much? Asking for a friend.
Is there a price difference between Byo and Harare?

Lahore Qalandars making another announcement in which Aaqib Javed says "Qalandars will ensure the Zimbabwean players selected for their 4 month high performance camp, go out as future superstars" He also ensures 5 fast bowers of 140+ K will be part of the 5 domestic teams (1 for each) and may be in future more such players (ARs, Spinners) will be playing in Zimbabwe's domestic competition. He talks about developing a high performance center in Harare. In the end he speaks about some tour to Yorkshire in October but I'm not very sure what exactly he meant there.
