Should extend that to coaches and management.
Our cricket is in a shambles, has been for decades.
We're at rock bottom and they can't hide the thieves, drunks, pimps, drug users, and incompetent people anymore or we're done.
Pay the players some decent bucks, get rid of the rotten apples, rotten umpires, and passengers and let's start afresh. Have to do the small things properly.

I wonder who was tested? Just these two? The whole squad? Are these tests regular? Selective? Did they get a tip-off?
Because I am quite amazed they only found two, if I'm honest.

I doubt very much they were tested. If they were they'd get a suspension. It's the customary window dressing, this way they get a wrist slap. I'm surprised they went public at this tricky time, that's their wake up call only I reckon.

They never told us the names of the two 'young domestic players' who were suspended at the start of the year for marijuana did they?
Re: Another one bites the dust
Mbanje is performance reducing if anything, should be no issue whatsoever.
Gone public with it now to distract from the Chawaguta debacle.

Wez is no big loss blazing Mavuta is though, he was just coming good.

Not that I recall?
We're lucky we're essentially off the ICC radar. I think they came for Ballance based on prior ducking and diving. It's usually a hair test I think and maybe if u fail that you have to give blood or urine?
If you're playing an Olympic sport and are a top athlete the IOC do random tests and if you don't make yourself available you get suspended. I recall a story, don't know how true, that they even came to a houseboat to find Kirsty Coventry for a random test, they don't mess around.
You wouldn't have thought MJ would be great for your reactions
The marching dust is an entirely different kettle of fish.
Madhevere has had red carpet treatment for way too long, and on top of that has taken his good fortunes for granted.
He needs to wake up and realise he's not irreplaceable.

Well with cricket in the Olympics from 2028 I guess there's going to be a big uptick in testing

Raz dawg seems like he’s on something half the time and Williams’ jaw is always going when he’s batting. Regis was definitely on something

Drugs, a strip club, what else this week? We are only missing rock and roll at this point.
