Bennett joined Munyonga at the crease, and by the time they were separated 60 overs later they had recorded the highest partnership for any wicket ever recorded for any Zimbabwean team: 355 runs for the fourth wicket.

This beats the 352 for the third wicket by the English professional Mark Pettini and Tino Mutombodzi for Eagles against Mountaineers at Mutare in 2014/15.

Dom Bess was on the Telegraphs Tuffers & Vaughan podcast this week. Spoke very positively about his time in Zimbabwe.

Those fellas who copped the 4 month bans must be kicking themselves to see all these records fall.

Tony played well. He was dropped 6 times, first one on 30, second one on 70 and then it got farcical.
Brian I think was dropped once on 130 odd.
Bennett will be facing the new ball on 170 looking for his double, it's going to be an interesting little period.

How does Roach keep getting picked for Eagles? Someone's taking the piss here.
They've realistically got one good seamer.

Good to hear. I don’t think any of the overseas over the past 2-3 years have had a bad word to say.

It surely beats being in an indoor centre in England for 4 months.

I know it still takes some mental strength to get to 200 but this is a bit ridiculous. Especially when you add dropped catches to the mix. They need to sort this out next season. At least we know that the new ball with the Pakistani seamers should have been a difficult combination for about 10 overs but after that there is nothing

Yep. I don’t want to take away from some of these innings because they are great personal achievements.

But these guys are going to have a shock when we play a Test in Bangladesh in April or the Test in Belfast in July with a swinging Duke’s ball in difficult conditions.

This isn’t good preparation. Other than maybe just a big confidence boost for people. Which is needed tbf

Declared on 264. Shame it is a must win game or 300 would have been on.
