That's the problem here. People are absolutely clueless about cricket. Very few people have the skills to face the new ball, let alone dominate. It's a different game up front.
Give Madande more opportunity up the order, everyone rates him so highly, let him sink or swim. A number 7 who doesn't bowl or currently keep?
K-Long looks to me like he currently doesn't have the game at the highest level. Maybe there's someone out there that can help him reach his potential?
It seems we're the only team that hides our batters down the order because we can't find one that can play some shots without too much risk up the order in the powerplay.
The players either can't hit a good ball or they don't trust the guys coming after them.
Then let's get down to brass tacks and give Welch an extended opportunity as opener. They all know he's got the most realistic chance, but theyre hoping if they wait long enough he'll lose it.

I don't see us winning a single game. They're miles better than us in every dept. They looked a little brittle briefly with the bat, but we have no answer to their bowling with the new ball.

Said it before and I’ll say it again. Raza needs to open like he did at the qualifiers. Unless of course he was statpadding against Togo and Burkino Faso
